Bookings
Generally we accept new reservations, changes and cancellations by e-mail (specialcarepbc@gmail.com) with adequate notice. It is recommended that you verbally confirm any request sent after normal business hours and on major holidays. If your needs require attention in less than eight hours, please call our office at (561) 278-1133.
Special Care Transportation and their chauffeurs do not offer any credit terms therefore the entirety of the agreed fare is immediately payable at the point of booking or upon completion of services, whichever is specifically agreed at the point of making the booking and entering a contract for services.
Pick up arrangements
Airport bookings:

For Domestic Flights, clients will be met at arrivals, at a prearranged location by their chauffeur unless otherwise specified by the booker.

For International Flights, clients will be met outside arrivals, at a prearranged location by their chauffeur unless otherwise specified by the booker.
Chauffeur Tip Policy
It is customary to pay a tip to the chauffeur for services provided. We respectfully recommended a 20% tip payable to the chauffeur upon completion of transportation services, this is additional to the base fare of transportation services performed. Chauffeur tipping is entirely at the discretion of the purchaser. The client is at liberty to increase, decrease this recommended 20% tip appropriately.
Chauffeur No Shows
In the event that the client does not see their driver, please call (561) 278-1133 and we will assist immediately to coordinate the pickup. At Special Care Transportation we promise quality drivers and timely pick-ups; we will do everything in our power to right any situation where those standards are not met.
Arrival Time
Special Care Transportation and its chauffeurs act in preparation in order to best avoid unnecessary delays in arrival times. However circumstances out of our control including but not limited to road, traffic and weather conditions can impact journey and arrival times. In the event of such delays caused by the aforementioned circumstance, refunds are not made.
Cancellation Changes
We cannot guarantee cancellations, changes or new reservations unless sent to specialcarepbc@gmail.com or contacted to (561) 278-1133 with adequate notice as below. Unless otherwise agreed to or provided in writing, the following provisions will apply: We generally accept cancellations without a charge made more than 24 hours prior to the scheduled pickup time. Should a cancellation be made within 24 hours but not less than 6 hours prior to the scheduled pickup time, a charge of 50% of total payable fare will be charges to the client. Should a cancellation be made within 20 minutes of the scheduled pickup time a charge of 100% of the total payable fare will be charged to the client.
Lateness
Special Care Transportation affords clients a 30 minute grace period in respect of their specified pick up time. Thereafter, wait time will be charged at $20 for each additional 15 minute period.
Baggage & General Property Terms
Special Care Transportation does not assume the responsibility for the handling, maintenance or damage of any baggage or other property which includes property which is left in Special Care's and their chauffeur's vehicles. We will act reasonably when dealing with any request for retrieval of property left in vehicles, however the onus is on the client to ensure all belongings are appropriately retrieved upon leaving the vehicle.
Passenger Conduct
Special Care Transportation reserves the right to refuse transport services to persons under the influence of or in possession of illegal drugs, as well as those excessively intoxicated, in the possession of firearms or dangerous substances of any kind, or who are, or are likely to become objectionable to other persons or if the chauffeur feels threatened in any way. Under no circumstances are minors allowed to consume or possess alcohol or illegal substances while in a company vehicle. Clients shall not interfere with the chauffeur in the discharge of his/her duty or tamper with any apparatus or appliance on the vehicle. In the event of breach of this term, services will be terminated immediately and no refunds will be offered.
Excess Cleaning & Damage
If, during or after the transportation service, Special Care Transportation and/or their chauffeurs are required to undergo a more than standard amount of time and utility/expense to clean the vehicle due to acts of the client or any passenger. Typically this may include, but is not limited to cleaning due to the following:

Food & drink spillage

Vomiting and other bodily fluids

Smoking
-
Excessive spoilage and/or trash

Special Care Transportation reserves the right at their discretion to charge the client in respect of such fees and expense arising out cleaning. Damage to the vehicle in any way caused by actions of the client or any passenger will be charged in full to the client. Smoking in all vehicles is strictly prohibited. Smoking in the vehicle by the client or any passenger will result in an automatic minimum $250 charge. Damage caused by smoking activity will also be charged to the client.
